High jewellery and precious gems to launch in Hong Kong this month

A world of splendour awaits buyers at Jewellery & Gem ASIA from 20 – 23 June

World-class jewellers and gemstone suppliers will be out in full force at Asia’s No. 1 mid-year B2B fine jewellery and gemstone marketplace, which is kicking off in Hong Kong this month, show organiser Informa Markets Jewellery announced.

Taking over the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 20 – 23 June, Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong (JGA) is returning with approximately 1,300 exhibitors from 30+ countries and regions, spread across more than 30 pavilions categorised by groups, products and themes. Online registration for JGA is ongoing and will remain open until 13 June.

One of the fair’s must-visit destinations is the Fine Design/Fine Gem Pavilion in Hall 3E – a space dedicated to high jewellery manufacturers and select gemstone houses.

“JGA is all about discovery, and this pavilion will give fairgoers a central place where they can meet with many of the industry’s best, get inspired and source the finest gems and jewellery that they need for their business,” said Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets Jewellery. “Needless to say, virtually every piece of exhibit in this pavilion is rare, precious and superbly crafted.”

Further adding glitter and colour to the fair are the Fei Cui Gallery, which will showcase an impressive jadeite display, and the Antique & Vintage Jewellery Pavilion, a favourite of speciality boutiques and retailers. Professional buyers will also find a diverse selection of exceptional offerings throughout the show’s distinct sections, thoughtfully organised by product categories. These encompass loose diamonds, coloured gemstones and pearls; finished jewellery and jewellery mountings; jewellery manufacturing equipment; packaging solutions and technology applications, Lau continued.

Here is a glimpse of some of the Fine Design and Fine Gem exhibits that will make their way to Hong Kong this month.

Asia’s largest mid-year fine jewellery sourcing destination is renowned for its rich and diverse selection of coloured gemstones, including the “Big Three” – ruby, sapphire and emerald – and highly coveted stones such as Paraiba tourmaline, aquamarine, alexandrite, black opal and spinel, to name a few. Among the exhibitors, AB Impex Co Ltd stands out as a prominent supplier of Colombian emeralds. With over 20 years of experience in gemstone manufacturing, grading and sourcing, the company offers emeralds in a wide variety of shapes and grades to cater to brands and collectors worldwide.

AVYK Diamonds Co Ltd is celebrating some of the rarest gifts of nature – diamonds of the highest degree of fire and sparkle, and coloured gemstones of the most exceptional quality. Established in 2023, the Thailand-based jeweller is bringing eye-catching collections including an 18-karat gold ring with a 7-carat fancy vivid yellow diamond centre gem and side trilliant-cut diamonds of 1 carat each, and a Colombian emerald and diamond necklace in two-tone gold. The diamonds in the necklace have a total carat weight of more than 70 carats.

Glamour Fine Jewelry of Taiwan presents the Stellar Journey Collection, a showcase of designs that embody the wonders of nature and the universe. This collection shines a spotlight on the dazzling colours and alluring beauty of emeralds, Paraiba tourmalines, sapphires and rubies, among others.

Originally known for the Kashikey Brown Diamond, Japan-based Kashikey Company Limited shines in another product category: Conch pearls. Founded in 1928, Kashikey has dedicated itself to collecting conch pearls since the 1990s and is now recognised globally as a top supplier of these enchanting “pink pearls,” both loose and set in jewellery.

Osi Vitoria Jewelry, a Hong Kong-based brand, is presenting collections inspired by nature’s beauty. At JGA, the jeweller will highlight its expertise in harmoniously blending colours that range from soft pinks to vibrant purples, greens and blues. One of its masterpieces is “Floral Ensemble,” a bold necklace that combines a rigid structure embellished with emeralds and a garland-like design of wild orchids. The floral arrangement features a seamless gradient of colours, transitioning from white and blush to shades of pink and purple. The necklace features a 62.67-carat emerald pendant, against a backdrop of 3,248 gemstones, comprising emeralds, spinels, fancy sapphires and diamonds. Designed to rest delicately on the collarbone, the piece is crafted in 18-karat gold and titanium.

Buyers are sure to be impressed by the gemstone suites, single stones and pairs of Paul Wild OHG, a pioneering gemstone company founded in 1927 in Kirschweiler, Germany. Led by the tenth generation, the family-run business collectively brings over 150 years of technical expertise and creative passion to the world of coloured gemstones. Their collections showcase the precise and skilful cutting of raw, natural materials, underscoring Paul Wild’s extensive supply of fine rough stones.

Unique Brilliant Limited is bringing some of its finest jewellery pieces to JGA. Among its striking offerings is a ring set with a 10.899-carat no-heat padparadscha sapphire sourced from Sri Lanka. Additionally, the company will present a necklace and earrings suite adorned with 24 no-heat Burmese rubies in the coveted Pigeon’s blood colour, totalling 45.39 carats, complemented by fancy-shaped diamonds. Another attraction is a 100.07-carat cat’s-eye alexandrite from Sri Lanka, which possesses striking colour change and distinct chatoyancy. The alexandrite comes with gemstone reports from five gemmological laboratories, according to the jeweller.

Buyers searching for fine rubies are going to be delighted with Veerasak Gems’ prized collection. With over 40 years of expertise in gemstone cutting and polishing, Veerasak is presenting some of its stunning finds from Mozambique – jewellery layouts consisting of matching unheated rubies and single stones of the most vibrant colours. The company is also displaying sapphires, spinels and peridots, from layouts to pairs and single stones.
