This year Vicenzaoro September will be celebrating its ten-year partnership with CIBJO – World Jewellery Confederation of which the Italian Exhibition Group's show has been a member since 2009. The European International Gold and Jewellery Show (Vicenza 7-11 September 2019) is the only event able to represent the entire gold-jewellery production chain. And CIBJO has been organizing its main Italian events in Italy at Vicenza for ten years.

Focus at the September edition will be on sustainability, a sector priority, which the highly-anticipated CIBJO seminar entitled "Technological solutions for sustainability and responsible sourcing in the jewellery industry" will be dealing with through international reports from experts such as the De Beers Group, Gübelin Gem Lab, Richline Group and Dragonfly Initiative.

"Our now historic collaboration," says Gaetano Cavalieri, President of CIBJO, "is proof of CIBJO and IEG's joint efforts in spreading the main points of CSR, transparency and sustainability to the maximum by offering case histories and direct experiences of enormous calibre at Vicenzaoro on which to plot the right road for the entire gold and jewellery production chain, and SMEs in particular, to follow. The activities we promote provide concrete added value for sector insiders attending IEG's international events, a B2B platform able to act as a reference for the entire industry."

The sustainability theme will cross the whole show. "Spreading Sustainability", the theme title, traceability, ethical trade and environmental protection will, in fact, also be the focus of VISIO.NEXT, the opening round table at which international experts, top influencers, companies and leading traders are invited to attend.

Through its partnership with CIBJO, IEG also participates in High-Level Political Forums (HLPF) of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), setting itself apart as a trade show organizer that promotes and provides services and educational programmes on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability within the jewellery, precious metal and precious stone industry, in support of the UN's development programmes and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Moreover, last year, Italian Exhibition Group joined the UNITED NATIONS Global Compact (UNGC), the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative sponsored by the United Nations, thus becoming one of the top trade show providers in the world to have its own initiative cornerstones. Confirmation of a commitment that extends to all sectors in its exhibition portfolio, as the over twenty-year experience with ECOMONDO in Rimini, the leading event in Europe for new models of circular economy, organized by IEG, goes to prove.
