The Jewellery Boutique Show, scheduled to take place in the Vicenza Exhibition Centre from 19th to 24th January, is a sold out with a growth trend in countertendency with the general international jewellery trade show panorama.

Matteo Marzotto, Executive Vice President, and Corrado Facco, Managing Director of IEG, Italian Exhibition Group, the company generated by the merger between Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza, confirmed the figures this morning during a press conference.

Also attending the meeting were Michele Scannavini, President of ITA Italian Trade Agency, Ivana Ciabatti, President of Confindustria Federorafi, Alba Cappellieri, Professor at Milan Polytechnic and Director of the Museo del Gioiello jewellery museum in Vicenza and Gaetano Cavalieri, President of Cibjo, the World Jewellery Confederation.

The January Show will be hosting over 1,500 brands of which 80% are already VICENZAORO customers. Participating companies will be exhibiting in an area of over 25,000 m², with an incidence of high range brands that rewards Italian Exhibition Group's strategy of enhancing the community. In fact, the number of high-end brands at VICENZAORO January will be up + 10%.

International participation is also continuing to grow and at 40%, confirms the Vicenza event's role as a reference hub for the sector.

VICENZAORO January is an authentic jewellery city with six different themed districts that create encounters between buyers and exhibitors easier: ICON, LOOK, CREATION, EXPRESSION, ESSENCE, EVOLUTION.

T-Gold, the international Show for machinery and the latest technologies applied to gold and jewellery processing, is also sold out with +20% compared to the same period in 2017. In fact, the Show's hall has been extended and there will be 161 exhibiting companies from 16 countries with Germany, USA and Italy representing the very best of the sector.

The recurring theme of VICENZAORO January 2018 - The Jewellery Boutique Show - will be VISIO.NEXT: entirely dedicated to the future, it will highlight the multi-channel character of distribution, in other words, the last frontier in close relation with new consumers.

In fact, the opening day of VICENZAORO January will feature the VISIO.NEXT Summit dedicated to luxury and jewellery with significant in-depth discussions on the topics of traceability and sustainability and a high level, expert panel on the Fiera di Vicenza stage, introduced with a presentation by Claudia D’Arpizio, Director of Bain&Company, and consisting of Carlo Capasa, President of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, Matteo Marzotto, in his dual role as Executive Vice President of IEG and President of Dondup, Diego Nardin, AD at Fope, Licia Mattioli, AD at Mattioli and Vice President for Confindustria's Internationalization, Adi Al Fardan, Founder of Adi Hasan Al Fardan Jewellery Trading.

The evening of the opening day will see the Prize-giving Ceremony of the sixth edition of the Andrea Palladio International Jewellery Awards. Considered as the Jewellery Oscars, these awards celebrate the very best of Italian and international jewellery and the winners will receive prizes by the prestigious Seguso brand.

The heart of trends, design and research will also be beating strongly at VICENZAORO January in the ICON exhibition area with The Design Room which will be back after its extraordinary debut in 2017: twelve independent brands from all over the world will be offering an exclusive display of their most innovative designs. The designers in attendance represent a balanced mixture of products and geographical origin: Fernando Jorge – Brazil, Noor Fares – France, Netali Nissim – Italy based in NY, Federica Rettore – Italy, Bia Tambelli – Brazil, Bea Bongiasca – Italy, Alessa Jewels - UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, Aida Bergsen – Turkey, Akillis – France, Qayten – Singapore, Magerit – Spain, Kelly Xie – China.

Partners of the VICENZAORO January 2018 edition are the Italian brands Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo, Moroso and Seguso.

With the addition of the Arezzo Shows - OroArezzo and GoldItaly - as of 2017, as well as VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show, Las Vegas and events in Mumbai and Hong Kong, the VICENZAORO System strengthens its programme by vertically and horizontally covering the entire gold and jewellery production chain.
